Everyone is on social media these days, so its important that your profile has a true representation of yourself. Why? You may ask. Well companies and their HR employees can find your profiles on social media. A quick glance at your profile can make or break their decision to call you for an interview.
I personally only have one true professional account. That account is on LinkedIn. I don’t use it much and I haven’t truly explored the content of the site.
My other accounts are slowly becoming more professional the older I get. I have slowly been cleaning up my accounts by unfollowing people and groups that I don’t connect with anymore and searching for new groups to become a part of. Now I have been very slow on trying to find new groups because sometimes its harder to find something you connect then what you think.
The best thing is to find groups that coincide with your ideas and beliefs. This will be easy to make new friends and make strong connections.
